1. About Us Insight Estimates is a New Zealand-based service helping clients interpret building reports. We offer cost estimates, trade suggestions, and optional project management.

2. What We Do

  • Recommend suitable trades
  • Optionally manage repair processes end-to-end

3. What You Agree To

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information including building reports, contact details, and additional clarification if needed
  • Ensure that the building report you provide is complete, legible, and reflective of the current condition of the property
  • Understand that our cost estimates are indicative only, based on industry norms and the quality of information you supply
  • Recognise that Insight Estimates is not responsible for inaccuracies or omissions in the original building report
  • Cooperate fully with our team when clarification, site measurements, or follow-up information is require


4. Trade Connections

If you request a referral, we may connect you with vetted tradespeople. These tradespeople operate independently and are not employees, contractors, or representatives of Insight Estimates. We are not responsible for the quality, timing, conduct, or outcome of any third-party work. Engagement with any trade professionals is entirely at your discretion and risk.

5. Payments

All services are invoiced and processed securely via Tradify. Some services may require upfront payment before any work is initiated. You will be informed of this before any charges are applied.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • We provide cost estimates and advice based on the information you supply. Our service is advisory only and does not replace the role of a licensed builder, inspector, lawyer, or valuer.
  • We are not liable for:
  • The accuracy or completeness of your building report
  • Any property decision made solely based on our estimate or summary
  • The performance or actions of third-party contractors
  • Future property issues or defects not covered in your original report

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

7. Intellectual Property

All cost estimates, summaries, and materials provided by Insight Estimates remain our intellectual property. You may use these materials for personal or professional decision-making but may not distribute, publish, or sell them without written consent.

9. Service Changes

We reserve the right to update or change our services, features, or these terms at any time. Any significant changes will be notified on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of those changes.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Insight Estimates, its employees, contractors, and partners from any legal fees, costs, liabilities, or claims that arise due to your breach of these terms or misuse of the service

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any delays or failure to provide services due to causes beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, network failures, labour disputes, or equipment malfunctions.
